Drive Tour Description
Herculaneum, together with the city of Pompeii, Stabia and Oplonti, was covered by a blanket of ash and lapilli during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., stopping the city’s time at that event. Only in the 1700s did archaeological investigations start which brought to light the ancient city of Herculaneum, resulting in the archaeological site we can still visit today.
During our half-day tour of Herculaneum you will walk through the Roman streets, admire ancient recidences with their characteristic frescoes and discover the history of the eruption of 79 A.D.
Thanks to expert English-speaking guides you will explore the ancient city of Herculaneum and live an immersive experience in its history. An occasion not to be missed!
